About This Design
Spring Roundelay (by Edward Atkinson Hornel) Stone Coaster
This design features a painting by the Scottish artist Edward Atkinson Hornel (1882–1931), who was a member of the Glasgow Boys movement of art. It shows a group of girls performing a traditional country dance called a roundelay together after they have been collecting flowers from the beautiful plants that are growing in the natural rural landscape that surrounds them. The girls are wearing rustic dresses and they are all smiling brightly and happily. It is a beautiful sunlight day in the season of spring when all the flowers are blooming with bright colour. The trees behind them are overflowing with pink cherry blossom. All of the girls are barefoot as they walk and play and dance on the grass together. They are having great fun. The original artwork was painted by Edward Atkinson Hornel in 1910.

Very well done. I had six made with different quotes for a very unique gift. Very impressed with the printing on all 6 coasters.

Beyond expectations, the photo was perfectly reproduced on the stone and the stone texture made it something special. A quality product. As a photographer, I am very aware of print quality, and this product clearly met my high expectations.

I have received many compliments on these coasters and they have withheld very well with extreme heat from a mug and the condensation from a glass without ruining any of my wood surfaces. The print actually turned out exactly like the photo.
