Sri Lanka Save The Date

This illustration portrays a Sri Lankan woman and man dressed in traditional attire, symbolising the spirit of celebration and cultural heritage. The woman, adorned with a pearl necklace, earrings, and flowers in her hair, is wearing a bright pink and peach redda hatte style outfit, and she is holding betel leaves together in her hands in the traditional gesture of respect and greeting known as “Ayubowan”. Beside her, the man is dressed in a classic white national outfit, carrying a basket filled with fruits and betel leaves, representing prosperity and offerings. The design captures the warmth, hospitality, and joy of a Sri Lankan festive occasion, especially reflecting the Sinhala and Tamil New Year (Avurudu/Nivea celebration), where traditions, blessings, and cultural expressions come together in harmony.
