St George Slaying the Dragon Art Print
Created in water-colour format after a fabulous bronze sculpture created in 1862, this wonderful art print shows a powerful scene. There are so many versions of St George slaying the hapless Dragon, but few evoke such power and realism as the remarkable interpretation by great sculptor Anthony Fernkorn. Working in bronze, he was able to capture the poignant moment of defeat for the Dragon (and victory for courageous George), with such realistic flare, that he seemingly brought the myth to life.
Recreated for this gallery by artist Skye Ryan-Evans by painting over a hand-rendered impression of the original image using water-colours and inks on old art paper, then post-processed in "Photoshop" and "Corel Draw", this beautiful art print is the result.
