St. Padre Pio Prayer for Healing Hanging Tapestry

This tapestry has a powerful prayer for healing by St. Padre Pio. This amazing Saint was born Francesco Forgione in Pietrelcina, Italy on May 25, 1887. He decided to dedicate his life to God at the age of five, and at the age of 15, he joined a community of Monks to become a friar. He took the name of "Pio" in honour of Pope Pius I. In 1910, Brother Pio became a priest. On September 20, 1918, he noticed the stigmata, the wounds of Christ, on his hands and feet. The wounds, which smelled of roses, remained for the rest of his life, and never became infected despite the pain and weeping of blood. It was concluded his stigmata was not fake by a Church investigation. He became internationally famous, and people came from far away to see him. Padre Pio died on September 23, 1968, and over 100,000 people attended his funeral. In 2002, he was officially recognised as a Saint by Pope John Paul II. Many Christians believe this is the most powerful prayer for healing the sick because of his love for God and the astonishing spiritual gifts he was given: including the ability to speak to Jesus, see angels, read souls and perform countless miracles. Today, St. Padre Pio remains very popular among people wanting a cure. Before he passed away, he declared, "After my death I will do more. My real mission will begin after my death."
