St. Philip the Apostle (JMAS 10) Key Ring

The image is one of twelve in the publisher’s Apostle Series (No. 12155). The lush floral ornamentation at the bottom of the picture derives from miniatures, that is, the small illustrations used to decorate ancient or mediaeval illuminated manuscripts, in the Vatican Library. + Here, in the roundel at the top of the picture, St. Philip holds a tall, thin cross which is one of his principal attributes the other being a basket of loaves and fishes. + Feast: May 3
