St. Thomas More (1470-1535) was truly an English Renaissance man: He was a lawyer, statesman, social philosopher, author, family man, and Christian humanist. He also became a martyr under Henry VIII because he opposed the King's divorce of Catherine of Aragon and his taking the title "Supreme Head of the Church of England". It’s a beautiful ornament. The silver is nice quality-it is smaller than I expected so just check the measurements of what you need. Turned out great for my son and his girlfriend to give them for Christmas to honor the first home they bought this year! It looks good, just hard to read the text because of the print and size.
