St. Urho's Day - Heinasirkka Apron
St. Urho's Day is celebrated on March 16th, just one day before St. Patrick's Day. It is an observance that was started by the Finnish up in Minnesota years ago and its popularity has been growing widely across the US for years. It is said that St. Urho drove the grasshoppers out of Finland and thus saved their grapes (which they made into wine!). Some say it was greated to get a headstart on the Irish from drinking all the beer up! The story can be found on my website at http://www.brownielocks.com/urho.html The official colours are purple (to represent the grapes) and green (to represent the grasshoppers.) Feel free to customise this with your own Finnish words or whatever you wish!

This product was surprisingly good, robust and strong - I was expecting to use the product just as a BBQ apron - instead I use it as a multi purpose carryall - using the apron for light tools, screws and nuts when working on my vehicles or minor DIY projects, holding gardening implements and seeds or the BBQ. Extremely well made and the customised motif was superb and certainly gets favourable comments in New Zealand. Colours are excellent and standout.
