Starfish/Sea Stars in Cannon Beach, OR, Photo 4 Mouse Pad

Several "starfish" now known as sea stars are intertwined and "cuddled together" in this photo I shot several years ago at Haystack Rock in the Cannon Beach OR area. Fascinating creatures, they were huge! Much larger than I would have imagined. Seen here are some in a sort of burgundy, almost purple colour, and orange, too. Seaweed and what I think are barnacles are also present in the shot. (Sorry; I'm a fairly passable tourist. Sea life scientist: not so much.) Enjoy!
