Stari Most Bosnia & Herz. Magnet

The Stari Most, or Old Bridge, is a 16th-century Ottoman bridge in the city of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It crosses the Neretva River, connecting the two parts of the city. The original bridge stood for 427 years before its destruction during the war, and its subsequent meticulous reconstruction is a symbol of peace and reconciliation. The bridge is famous for its humpbacked, elegant arch and is the setting for a traditional annual diving competition where local men jump from the bridge into the cold water below.
