Starlight Vintage Soap Ad Poster

This poster, “Starlight Savon”, was part of the “Maîtres de l'Affiche” which refers to 256 colour lithographic plates used to create a very significant art publication during the Belle Époque in Paris, France. Henri Meunier, 1873-1922, was a Belgian Art Nouveau lithographer, etcher, illustrator, bookbinder and poster designer of the Belle Époque. Meunier used flat colours and thick outlines, borrowed from Japanese prints, to achieve powerful images. Enormously successful, today the Maîtres de l'Affiche works are as rare as the original large format images and much in demand by collectors from around the world.

I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. I was able to reorder the print in a smaller size and it was shipped to me within a couple of weeks. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it. I am so grateful to the customer service team for the professional way they handled my order. I had this printed on matt finish card and I was really pleased with the quality. The colours were rich and the image sharp.
