Starry Snowing Nebula Custimizable Christmas Card
Westerlund 2 is one of the youngest and brightest star clusters in our galaxy. It is enveloped in a nebula of gas and dust that is actively coalescing into new stars. In fact, we can only see the cluster because the near-infrared camera on the Hubble Space Telescope is able to detect the star light shrouded in the hazy nebula. Closer inspection by Hubble has revealed discs around some of the stars that could be forming their own planetary systems.
