State Flag of South Dakota Tote Bag

This design features the state flag of South Dakota, which is a U.S. state in the Midwestern region of the United States. It is named after the Lakota and Dakota Sioux Native American tribes, who comprise a large portion of the population and historically dominated the territory. As the southern part of the former Dakota Territory, South Dakota became a state on November 2, 1889, simultaneously with North Dakota. The state capital of South Dakota is Pierre, whereas Sioux Falls is the state's largest city. South Dakota is officially known as the Mount Rushmore State, because the colossal sculpture, a major tourist destination, is carved into the granite face of the Black Hills in Keystone, South Dakota.
