This late 19th century US History print features the Statue of Liberty while it was being constructed in Paris, France, under the direction of an immigrant Norwegian civil engineer Joachim Goschen Giaever. It was then transported to New York in disassembled form in crates aboard a French steamer Isere and was welcomed by two hundred thousand people lining the docks.
