Steam Donkey Postcard
A circa 1905 logging donkey, a steam powered winch, stands at the entrance to the San Lorenzo Valley Museum, on Highway 9, and welcomes all to the south entrance to Boulder Creek, Santa Cruz County, California. This steam donkey operated in conjunction with a bull donkey to bring redwood logs to the Campbell Redwood Lumber Company mill on Gazos Creek in 1916.
