Steps Of Ma'alot Canvas Print
This is a bit of humour for anyone who lives in, or has visited, Ma'alot in northern Israel. A resident of the city is shown at the base of one of the city's long, steep sets of steps; just beginning a long climb to the top. English text reading, "MA'ALOT," "THEY CALL US OLIM FOR A REASON," and "ARE YOU TOUGH ENOUGH FOR THE NORTH?" also appear.
Ma'alot (מעלות) is a Hebrew word which can be translated as "steps." The city itself is located in the Galilee on a collection of mountainous tops - it could definitely be referred to as vertical terrain. Aliyah (עלייה), meaning ascent, is the Hebrew word for immigration to Israel from the diaspora. The Hebrew word "Oim" (singular oleh/olah) is related to "aliyah" and means "those who go up. Together everything makes a, hopefully funny, pun.

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. It attracts good comments from my friends. I love it! The printing is wonderful! Colors are as bright and crisp as they appeared on the website.

I bought this for our own home. It turned out beautifully, and I would recommend it to anyone who has concerns about the quality of the product. The printing turned out perfect. I did have some concerns how printing would turn out. Would the colors be accurate to the original painting's colors ? Yes. Would the sides look right? Yes. Would the bend affect the presentation? No, it's beautiful.
I took these pictures hurriedly, on a dark, rainy day, and the room is not particularly light any time. Regretfully, the photos do not do justice to the artwork.
