    Still Life with Checked Tablecloth (1915) by Juan Gris is a vintage abstract cubist fine art still life painting featuring a table with a chequered tablecloth and set with grapes, a bottle of red wine, beer, a newspaper and a guitar. The composite image formed from these objects resembles a bull's head. About the artist: José Victoriano González-Pérez (1887-1927) was a Spanish painter and sculptor whose works are closely connected to the emergence of the innovative artistic genre, Cubism.
