It was a big jump from cannons and fodder on the battlefield to a single plane that drops a single bomb that incinerates an entire city in seconds. Innovation doesn't come easy or cheap. The history channel broke the story with an energetic documentary on the state of modern warfare. As stands, the military can brew up hurricanes, typhoons, and send shocks wave that create earthquakes half way around the world. According to promotional videos, the military is using nano-technology (in this case, swarms of micro-sized computers) to track military personnel on the battlefield.
