Strauna - Strontium Trading Card

The wizard, Strauna represents the element, Strontium in the Magical Elements of the Periodic Table. Strauna can control soundwaves, which means she can make all kinds of things happen with sound. She can trick people's ears with fake sounds, send her voice far away, and even create powerful waves that can break things or hurt bad guys. Strontium was discovered in a lead mine at Strontian, Scotland. An Edinburgh doctor, Adair Crawford, investigated it and realised it was a new mineral containing an unknown “earth” which he named Strontia. The name later became Strontium. Researchers recently showed that strontium ions congregate on water's surface. This is important because understanding ions behaviour where air and water meet is vital to controlling chemical reactions for hydrogen fuel production. That is, “Less Boom, More Fuel”. Strontium salts are used in some toothpastes to decrease pain in sensitive teeth. There are several commercially available brands. Strontium, like calcium, can increase bone strength but taking strontium supplements may not necessarily be safe for your bones.
