Striped Ants, Black and White Fabric

This fabric is printed with black and white stripes. Each black stripe has the silhouettes of white ants. Each white stripe has the silhouettes of black ants. All together it looks like an entire army of ants is marching across the fabric. The ant is an Argentine ant (Linepithema humile (Mayr)). A common pest both indoors and out. This fabric could be used to make a unique gift for an entomologist, biologist, ecologist, or exterminator. Children who collect creepy crawlies and try to make them pets might appreciate this print. Some ideas include quilting, curtains, bags, blouses, shirts, skirts, dresses and table cloths.
