Strudwick Golden days CC1050 Pre-Raphaelite card

Pre-Raphaelite greeting card inspired by an artwork by John Melhuish Strudwick (In the golden days, 1907). John Melhuish Strudwick was a Pre-Raphaelite painter of the Victorian era. He was inspired by Edward Burne-Jones and also worked as his studio assistant in the 1870s. Another source of inspiration was the lapidary technique from the Italian quattrocento. His paintings were done in a blend of renaissance and mediaeval styles, with meticulous attention to detail, especially in his treatment of draperies and accessories, leading to a very small output.
