Stunning Spirulina Apron

Stripes of green, spiral shaped microorganisms called Spirulina stretch across a sunny yellow background. These cyanobacteria from the genus Spirulina or Arthrospira are photosynthetic and often found in alkaline, or basic, freshwater lakes, though some species are found in salt water habitats. Cyanobacteria are an important producer of oxygen, and species from the genus Arthrospira have been used as a high protein food supplement. Small spirals inspired by the shape of the tiny organism are decorated with the stripe pattern for a whimsical final touch. This apron is available in a variety of colours and sizes.
