Show your support for women everywhere using this fine 15 oz classic coffee mug created for the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote. These are the American Suffrage movement colors of yellow, white, and purple not to be confused with the British colors of green, white, and purple. After decades of work and protest, the 19th Amendment passed in Congress but still needed 2/3 of the states to ratify it in order to be added to the Constitution. The stars were added to the suffrage flag as each of the 36 states needed for ratification of the bill passed it in their state houses. It took over 70 years of dedication and work for the 19th Amendment to pass but on Nov 2, 1920, 8 million women voted for the first time!
