Sun Stone of Tenochtitlan Jigsaw Puzzle

Also known as the Aztec Calendar stone, this carved stone disc is nearly 12 feet in diameter and more than 3 feet thick. The art on this jigsaw puzzle depicts the Calendar Stone with dramatic colours. The central face is the sun itself, with its blood-thirsty tongue sticking out ready to lap up the blood given it by sacrifices. Around the central sun there are four epochs of history during which the everything on earth was nearly destroyed. The two bands on either side of the disc show the symbol for the planet Venus flanked by pairs of spear-like blades like the tongue of the sun itself.
