Sunlight and Shadow: The Newbury Marshes Tissue Paper

This design features an image of an oil painting by American artist Martin Johnson Heade (1819–1904), particularly known for his salt marsh landscapes such as this one, showing a landscape between Newbury and Newburyport, Massachusetts, near the mouth of the Merrimack River. There is a meandering river winding through the wetland environment. Light from the sun is reflecting on the clouds in the sky. Green fields stretch into the horizon and there are some farm animals in the distance. The original painting was completed between 1871 and 1875, and it is now in the collection of the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.
