Sunrise, Yosemite Valley (1870) by Albert Bierstadt is a vintage American West fine art landscape nature painting. A a view to the east with mountains and trees reflecting in the water of the Merced River in Yosemite National Park. About the artist: Albert Bierstadt (1830-1902) was a German-American painter best known for his lush, sweeping landscapes of the American West. Bierstadt joined several journeys of the Westward Expansion. He was part of the Hudson River School whose style involved carefully detailed paintings with romantic, almost glowing lighting, sometimes called luminism.
