Support The Troops Bumper Sticker

After a decade of foreign expansion of war, the United States has committed fortunes, lives, and credibility to the failed idea that America can mould the World to its liking by force. The ubiquitous banners, stickers, and signs all plead with us to "support the troops," regardless of our opinions of these wars. (As we write, the US is currently bombing, or on the ground fighting in 6 different foreign countries - Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia, and Iraq.) But are we really "supporting the troops" by blindly supporting these unwinnable, endless wars of aggression? Or, at the very least, are we supporting the troops by staying silent as thousands of families are shattered, lives are lost, and debt is racked up to sustain wars that nobody can defend, and few can even understand?
