In Buddhism, Chin-teh-ma-nee the same jewel, is an attribute of the Buddhas and bodhisattvas, hence a symbol of a mind that has attained its proper desire. Chin-tehn-ma-nee looking like a pansy is an "Ottoman Art" motif consisting three speckles two of them at bottom and one at top. This pattern used to be a SYMBOL OF POWER and FRUITFULNESS in Ottoman palaces especially in sultans and sultans’ sons’ underclothes and caftans. Sultans used to wear these caftans with "Chin-teh-ma-nee " patterns consisting three speckles in battle fields.
