The Szechenyi thermal spa baths are not only the largest thermal spring bath complex in Budapest and Hungary, but they are also the biggest in Europe. They were built in 1923 in a Neo-Baroque style. In 1927, it was expanded to include three outdoor and 15 indoor pools. Because of the expansion, more thermal spring water was needed so another thermal spring was found, dug and connected in 1938.
