Tau Canis Majoris lies at the centre of the young open cluster NGC 2362. It is the brightest star in the cluster and the only one to have evolved away from the main sequence. Look for this lovely jewellery box of a cluster in the Winter skies. Omega Centauri is the largest known globular cluster in the Milky Way.
