A lone Texas Longhorn steer with majestic horns walks in a western ranch outside Houston. The longhorn put thousands of miles beneath their hooves opening up long and dangerous cattle drives from Texas to railroad heads. Many of these steers after boarding cattle cars from Missouri and Kansas ended up Chicago. This steer stopped for a moment and posed for his portrait.
