The 101 Ranch Key Ring

The 101 Ranch Key Ring

Rodeo is a spanish word meaning roundup its roots are in the everyday work of ranching. One of the country's largest ranches around the turn of the last century was the 101 Ranch located near Bliss, Oklahoma. Among the cowhands who worked at the 101 were Will Rogers, Tom Mix and the father of bulldogging, Bill Pickett. The 101 put on a number of western events before it began touring with its Wild West Show in 1906. These shows played from Kansas City to London and established the lasting popularity of Rodeo as an American institution.
