The Alamo Playing Cards
Fifty or more years ago playing cards often depicted a destination scene. This one depicts that of the Alamo, in San Antonio, Texas. The Texas war for independence from Mexico included the battle at the Alamo. This siege lasted from February 23 to March 6, 1836. After thirteen days of defiant resistance the 200 defenders in the Alamo were overwhelmed by a superior force of Mexican troops. This photograph depicts the Alamo on a stormy day early in the morning. Almost two hundred years ago at 5 AM on March 6, 1836 Mexican troops broke the silence of a very quiet morning. Rockets were fired and Mexican bands played the "deguello," (No Quarter.) It took an hour and a half and the battle was over. Within two months the war was won by Texas at San Jacinto (present day Houston, Texas) with a rallying cry of "Remember the Alamo."

Wow what a fantastic product. I have been looking for custom playing cards for some time to use on my YouTube channel. it is very hard to find the right cards on line as you can only see and not feel the actual cards. I can only say that you will not be dissapointed with these cards. They are perfect in every respect for using and perfoming card tricks. The quality is outstanding and they feel great. Quality of the playing cards was great. Plastic like feel so feel like they’ll last a long time and won’t rip or crinkle. We all had a good laugh as the picture in the cards was a close up picture of the girl whose birthday it was for. Image quality was good although I felt like it was a bit too close up and I should have put a border around the photo other than that colours etc were true to photo
