The Angel of Death (Compassion at the End of Life) Watch
This design features a painting by the English artist Evelyn De Morgan (1855–1919). It shows an angel of death with large wings and a scythe. The angle is touching a young man, who is fated to be untimely taken from the Earth. The scene symbolises the pitiless of death, yet there is also great sympathy and compassion in the way that the two figures are clasping each other for comfort and support. The original artwork was painted in 1890.
