The Ascension of Christ Poster

The Ascension …And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them. They also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven" (Act 1:10-11). This artwork is special to me because it captures the Lord's Ascension, while highlighting His nail-pierced feet, one of the eternal reminders of His sacrificial work on Calvary. It also anticipates and previews His coming glory; moreover, the blessed hope is the promise of the return of Jesus, which occurs in two phases, namely, the imminent rapture of the Church, His precious Bride, and the Second Coming, where the Lord Himself will physically come to the earth and destroy the Anti-Christ, False Prophet, and the nations attacking God's Inheritance, Israel, en masse. Jesus' resounding victory (His annihilation of the forces of darkness and judgment of the nations) will usher in His millennial reign.
