The Main-belt Asteroid 1613 Smiley (1950 SD) was discovered on 1950-Sep-16 by Sylvain Julien Victor Arend at Uccle (MPC Code 012). It is named in honour of Charles Hugh Smiley (1903–1977), director of the Ladd Observatory and professor at Brown University, Providence, R.I. Charles H. Smiley was one of the world’s leading authorities on eclipses. On 20 July 1963, he flew in a U.S. Air Force F-104D Starfighter at 48,000 feet "racing the moon's shadow" to set an observing record for the duration of totality of 4 minutes 3 seconds. On 20 February 1976, the Minor Planet Centre published the official naming citation (M.P.C. 3931) for asteroid 1613 Smiley (1950 SD)

Order was easy and communication great. Order arrived pretty quickly. Unfortunately 2 mugs broke in transit. Helena and the friendly team sent 2 new mugs which arrived safely. Communication was prompt, friendly and extremely helpful. Printing was perfect.
