The Baptism of Christ (Verrocchio) Poster

This painting was finished around 1475. And was painted by Andrea del Verrocchio and his apprentice Leonardo da Vinci and others in Verrocchio's workshop. It was commissioned by the monastery church of San Salvi in Florence. The blonde angel and the landscape belond to Leonardo. The other angel was done possibly by Sandro Botticelli. The painting portrays St John the Baptist baptizing the Savior. With the Holy Ghost in a form of a dove, above Christ's head. Although Leonardo helped, this painting is better attributed to Verrocchio, as it is his composition, and he did most of the work.
