Shadmoor State Park is a 99-acre state park located in Suffolk County, New York in the USA. Created in 2000, the park is located in East Hampton (town), New York on the South Fork of Long Island, one quarter-mile east of Montauk village. The park features more than 2,400 feet of beach along the Atlantic Ocean. Shadmoor is maintained by the Long Island Region of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. The park has two concrete World War II observation bunkers used for the New York coastal defences. It was also part of Camp Wikoff where troops led by Theodore Roosevelt were quarantined after the Spanish-American War. It derives its name from the thick shadbush growing on top. Also found growing in the park is the endangered sandplain gerardia and black cherry trees. The park offers trails for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing. There is also accessibility for salt water fishing and commanding hilltop views of the surrounding seashore ideal for bird-watching. There is virtually no infrastructure other than the hiking trails.
