This design features a painting by the English artist John Ruskin (1819–1900). It shows the famous Chapel Bridge [Kapellbrücke], which is a famous covered wooden bridge with a mediaeval-style tower on one end, located in Lucerne, Switzerland. It is one of the city's most iconic landmarks. Named after the nearby St. Peter's Chapel, the bridge was first constructed in the 14th century and it contains a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century. The Chapel Bridge is the is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe. It crosses the Reuss River in Switzerland. The original artwork on this design was painted by John Ruskin in 1861.
