The Circle of Stars, American Flag by Betsy Ross Metal Lunch Box

The Circle of Stars, American Flag by Betsy Ross Metal Lunch Box

The Circle of Stars: The year was 1776, and the colonies were on the verge of declaring their independence from Great Britain. A committee was formed to design a flag that would represent the new nation, and they sought the help of a skilled seamstress named Betsy Ross. - Ross was known for her patriotism and her talent for needlework, and she was eager to contribute to the cause of liberty. The committee presented her with their initial design, which featured six pointed stars arranged in a straight line on a blue field. - Ross, however, had some suggestions. She proposed that the stars be changed to five points, as they were easier to sew and more aesthetically pleasing. She also suggested that the stars be arranged in a circle, rather than a straight line, to symbolise the unity and equality of the colonies. - The committee was impressed with Ross's ideas, and they agreed to her suggestions. Ross set to work, carefully sewing the new flag with its thirteen alternating red and white stripes and thirteen white stars arranged in a circle on a blue field. - When the flag was finished, Ross presented it to the committee, who were delighted with the result. They immediately recognised the power and symbolism of the new design. - The circle of stars, Ross explained, represented the perpetual union of the colonies, bound together in a circle of friendship and mutual support. The thirteen stars and stripes stood for the thirteen original colonies, each one equal and united in the pursuit of liberty. - The committee was so impressed with Ross's design that they immediately adopted it as the official flag of the United States. And so, the Betsy Ross flag, with its circle of stars, became a powerful symbol of American patriotism and unity, representing the enduring bond between the colonies and the promise of a new nation. - the copyright holder "DevinCook" of this work, release this version of Betsy Ross Flag into the public domain. This is a standard metal lunchbox that appears to work just fine. We designed this box ourselves with an uploaded photo and custom text on the front and back. It looks absolutely beautiful except the front of the lunchbox is not centered like it shows in the photo. The print borders don't align with the inset flat part of the box where the preview photo online showed it perfectly centered in there. The back looks nice and centered though.

I'd been experimenting with transferring designs to other products when my wife noticed this old time metal lunchbox. I knew she wanted it thus I created a special one just for here with a couple of her favorite photos I'd taken. Excellent. The cloud image on the front is her favorite of the two. It was taken right off our back patio. The other image was in West Texas several years ago, wide open spaces and roads.

This lunch box is great! Being able to put any picture on the lunch box is a great option. I am a huge fan of Disney as well as Alice in Wonderland and this satisfies both of my collections. It is a very well made lunch box for anyone. I am using my lunch box to hold some of my collectable Disney pins. I love it!
