This late 19th century US History artwork titled ‘The Flight’ by Frederic Remington features a man on horseback as he carries two firearms while being chased by Native Americans. In the artwork, the grey spotted horse which the man is riding kicks up dust, and the dramatic tension displays the artist’s interpretation of the American West, for which he gained recognition during the late 1800s and early 1900s.
