The Forks Canada Magnet

The Forks is Winnipeg's meeting place, located at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers. It has been a gathering spot for indigenous people for thousands of years and now offers a year-round marketplace, restaurants, museums, and recreational areas. In the summer, the riverbanks are bustling with patios and boaters, while in winter, it transforms into a snow and ice wonderland with skating trails and warming huts. This iconic confluence is centred around the Forks Market, a renovated train repair shop filled with local vendors and eateries. The area is rich with history and culture, featuring the Canadian Museum for Human Rights nearby, and acts as a central hub for community events, festivals, and leisure activities, symbolising the heart and spirit of Winnipeg.
