The Grand Phare beach or The Grand Lighthouse of Jijel, known as Ras el Afia (Cape of Fire), is a historic 1907 lighthouse situated 6 km west of Jijel, Algeria, on the scenic coastal road to Béjaïa. Built by Charles Salva, it features a 16.8-meter white octagonal tower on a promontory, totaling 45.2 meters above sea level with a 21-mile range, warning ships of dangerous reefs. PS. the photo shows the side rocky shore line on the right of this historical monument.
