'The Green, Lerryn' Card

A lovely picnic area in the beautiful Cornish riverside village of Lerryn. It was a warm summer afternoon when we left our sailing boat on her mooring and motored slowly upriver, in our inflatable, on a rising tide. After winding our way through approx. 2 miles of delightful creek and woodland scenery, we arrived in Lerryn. I pulled the dinghy onto a patch of grass and went to the nearby Ship Inn to collect the drinks, while Chris called at the Lerryn River Store for the pasties. Cold Guinness and a hot pasty can be so enjoyable in such a delightful setting. From original watercolour by Christine Hudson.
