4.25" x 5.6" Icon Print Prayer Card ©2012 ~ICONAgrafo THE HOLY MANDYLION Or the Icon "Not-Made-By-Hands" The MANDYLION is a Byzantine Greek word for a holy relic consisting of a rectangle of cloth upon which a miraculous image of the face of our Lord Jesus Christ was imprinted —the very first ICON ("image"). “Then the Lord asked that water and a cloth be brought to Him. He washed His Face, drying it with the cloth, and His Divine Image was imprinted upon it.” This is a post card size print of an icon of the Saviour ,”Not—Made--By--Hands” or “The Holy Mandylion ” painted by iconographer M.A.Sabbato. A prayer before the Icon of the Saviour "Not-Made-By-Hands" is printed on the back.
