This design features a painting by the American landscape artist Frederic Edwin Church (1826–1900), who was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and was a central figure in the Hudson River School. It shows an arctic seascape with a vast iceberg on the horizon; just in front of it is a sailing ship. The original painting was completed in 1891.
