The Kiss Art Nouveau Golden Wedding Anniversary tile Kiss. In Art Nouveau style, or Jugendstil as it's also called, Klimt captured the dreamy elegance of passion. Gold, black, hints of blue, purple, pink and peach in art deco type patterns. Klimt was one of the most influential painters on the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements.
The Kiss painted from 1907-08, appropriate for a Golden Wedding Anniversary, even though it's far older than the couple celebrating. 2012 is Klimt's 150th Birthday Anniversary and it's being celebrated all over the world, especially in Vienna.
Klimt's art experienced a surge of popularity in the 1960's, especially this world famous painting, The Kiss. A gold painting for a golden anniversary.
