When i was a child, i loved to build modelkits of ships and planes. But it was the artwork on the box top, that really excited me. Those artworks still impress me. My painting is a homage to all those great artists. It shows the IJN Kaga, a heavy aircraft carrier of the imperial Japanese navy on her last voyage in 1942. At first light, she is heading trough heavy seas of the pacific towards Midway island, where she will meet her fate. I spend hours and hours of research to get the technical details right, but the most challenge became the waves, which I have overpainted a couple of times until i was satisfied. Photoshop, no cheats, no texture, no 3D...just painting

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. It attracts good comments from my friends. I love it! The printing is wonderful! Colors are as bright and crisp as they appeared on the website.

The print was really like something that would be purchased in a gallery. One of the panels needed to be re-stretched but that’s easy. I did 4 panels which when hung together made one huge image. I then enhanced the canvas by painting over some areas.. and then used permanent markers. The result was a personalized artistic piece for a clients early modern home. This piece far exceeded my expectations. Will definitely go back and use this idea again. Exact representation of image sent. Be aware that photos have pixelated flaws... if these little dark specks aren’t cleaned up using common computer techniques, they will be represented in the final canvas print..... so go over the image and make sure all flaws have been erased prior to submitting it. The reproduction is exactly what you send.
