The Prado Annunciation by Fra Angelico, c.1435. The scene is divided in three parts, the garden, the Angel's arch and the Virgin's arch. Adam and Eve are being expelled from the Garden of Eden and a ray of divine light illuminates through the dove of the Holy Spirit, the Virgin, who bends accepting his duty submissively.
