A photograph of a sleeping Amur Tiger on a black background. Also known as Siberian Tiger, the Amur is very near to extinction in the wild. There are only a few hundred left. The Amur tiger became extinct in South Korea in 1922, since then there have been conservation efforts to save this species. Our efforts to save this species seems to be failing with the tigers population still continues to fall due to hunting and habitat loss.
