Jean-Honoré Fragonard (5 April 1732 – 22 August 1806) was a French painter and printmaker whose late Rococo manner was distinguished by remarkable facility, exuberance, and hedonism. One of the most prolific artists active in the last decades of the Ancien Régime, Fragonard produced more than 550 paintings (not counting drawings and etchings), of which only five are dated. The color is perhaps a little lighter than what I thought it would be, but it is tricky to see on screen when you order. I am waiting for another set that this should match to, holding thumbs. These are the most beautiful towels I have ever seen. The only thing is - I am too scared to use them. I am worried that the colour will disappear when I wash them! The printing is beautiful as long as the towel fibres are all facing the right way. They look amazing. just looks like the photo above
